One night
I crossed a river,
with an angel as my guide
Her golden crown shed a light
upon which my gaze did fix
She said to me
"Dear child, all is never lost...
and hope is always, within your reach,
if you ...just believe"
Now, this angel has come my way before
Carrying me when I had no strength
Loving me, when I couldn't
Waking me from the demon's sleep
So I knew that I should trust...
even though a river is what she crossed
I saw no fear, only faith... and
follow her I did
Now, upon the waters edge...
behind a tree he stood
I watched a while...no sound to make
Wondering why this is where I was led
He did not speak, but waited for me
I saw in his eyes, his soul...
In his hands... his heart...
I reached his side.. And stretched out
my hand, took hold of his heart..
Replaced it with mine
My angel, she smiled...as she
showered us with rain
For the heavens ....were blessing
