As A.L.E.R.T. Inc., we have made a pledge to animals and their owners that we will be there in the time of need. In order for members to do this it takes hard earned money. Most of our members are volunteers. This means they receive no money, food, nor shelter while they are deployed to an area. If funds are coming in then we see to it that they receive food, and a place to sleep.
Current projects:
Material donations, please
{1} Donations for training new and more volunteers.
{2} We are currently being asked to deploy to St. Johns Island near St. Thomas. It seems that the island is about 80% National Park, with around 3,000 residents. It is approximately 20 minutes by boat from St. Thomas. There is a severe stray animal problem there. To our dismay, there is no animal control services on this island. Nor is there a shelter facility on the island. These people have also been impacted by the recent hurricane Lenny . These people are in need of A.L.E.R.T.'s help, as well as your help too. Please send donations to this project.
