Bio: Born in Kyoto, Japan 2599 he is an Aquarius. As a child Derek’s mother and father were very poor. His mother was a Chinese immigrant whom had met his father during Seven Suns War (as Japan invaded China reclaiming lands owed from a millennium and a half ago during World War I). They fell in love and Derek’s father shed his wealth a status in order to wed to the lower class immigrant. Derek suffered for this, as he had to give up schooling to help his family with money. A confused, soft-spoken child, Derek was harassed by bullies who took what meager J-pounds he did make. After struggle with childhood, Derek’s parents decided to send him to live with an uncle in Osaka, Japan to attend school and have a chance at a better life. Whereabouts he was mugged and severely injured with a knife. Kira found his body with excessive loss of blood. She accompanied him to the hospital and awaited his fate, praying for his survival. As he recovered they spurned a friendship in which she introduced him to Chris and their ways of life. Brothers Derek and Chris trained together under the guidance of Kira. The closeness kindled between Derek and Kira is only stopped from being furthered out of respect of her wishes to be with Chris. Derek, never being one to owe a debt, vows to repay the kindness of Kira; even in the face of the Arcane Evolution. |
