Belief----Now that one is easy. Just believe that Jesus, the Son of God, died for your sins, took your place in eternal death. Pretty simple huh? That's called justification. Just by accepting that He died for you, you become justified before God the Father and have eternal life. Now, though, comes the hard part.......you have to maintain that justification every day (that's called sanctification). How hard is that?
Do you remember on the previous page that we learned that eternal life is a gift, not of works lest any man should boast? Now we need to learn what is meant by 'works' and just how good we must be in order to get this gift.
