Who am I?He awakes to find himself bandaged in a hut, having been rescued by natives and brought to their village. He also discovers he's lost his memory. His rescuers take him to the helicopter crash site where he has fragmented flashbacks of the mission. One night he sees vehicle lights in the distance and realises there is a way to leave. The following day as he heads to intercept he comes across a body hanging from a tree - the pilot whose parachute had failed. Searching the body he finds several passports and a matchbook with a cryptic message on it. Continuing on he finds one of the vehicles. One of the drivers is prostrate having been bitten by a snake. Jackie attempts treatment using chewed up leaves, which have the side effect of numbing his mouth. When the other driver, Yuki, sees him she thinks he's hurting her brother and he can't tell her the truth due to the numbness. When he sets up an impromptu drip for her brother she accepts he's helping and they screech off to get medical help. His haste means he ends up winning the race the vehicles were involved in and his picture appears in the paper, meaning the corrupt General behind the CIA operation realises someone survived the helicopter crash. At the hospital Jackie is pestered by a reporter, but Morgan's men escort him away for a "chat". After interviewing Jackie, Morgan lets him go, before telling his goons to kill him. Before that can happen Jackie is picked up by the South African police. He escapes and returns to his hotel - where Morgan's heavies are waiting for him. With the help of Yuki and the reporter he escapes again and they discover the matchbook code is a telephone number in Rotterdam. The building in Rotterdam turns out to be where General Sharman and Morgan are setting up an arms deal involving the meteorite. When Jackie infiltrates the building he overhears their meeting, learning the truth. Then he's discovered... |
