Okay I hired a researcher in Decatur Co., IN and he sent me proof that Alexander Tremain who married Nancy Mozingo is the son of Hiram Tremain who married Mary Mozingo. I had pretty much come to that conclusion anyway from looking closely at census records... Alexander Tremain who was son of Jesse and Rebecca Tremain was still in Decatur Co., IN in 1900 and was married to Anna with two children. The spelling was way off but Russ from Greensburg IN had found it in their county census index. In 1910 Jesse's two sons were living together, Alexander and Frank, and Alexander was divorced from Anna. Meanwhile Alexander G. and Nancy were living in Boone Co., MO all that time. No children of their own but it looks like they may have adopted a couple by 1910. They had Benjamin age 11 and Myrtle age 9 with them in 1910. They were too old by then for these to be natural children.
