..., I found my gggrandfather James Edgar Mozingo listed in the 1910 Cass County Texas Census. He is listed as being from Alabama. Does anyone have any information on Alabama Mozingos? Thanks, Debbie

... John Allen Mozingo is from Texas by way of Phipps, Hale, Alabama. He has a brother named William Blocker Mozingo, and I don't know his mother's name. His father, William Mozingo,(I don't have birth date or death data here either) was killed in the Civil War. Allen was then raised by his uncle, Allen Jones Mozingo b. 1828 in AL. William Mozingo and Allen Jones Mozingo's paraents were Ansalam Pearce Mozingo b 1799 in Lenoir Co., North Carolina, d. bet 1866-1870 in Bibb Co., Al. and Mary Jones b. 1804 in North Carolina. Then back to Pearce Mozingo b about 1750 in NC and Sarah Grady abt 1770 in Wayne, Co., NC, Married 1820 in North Carolina. This was pulled from International Genealogical Index from Mormon Church and from Ancestry.com. ... Debbie
