Beatrice Mozingo

Beatrice Bass Mozingo of Meadow Street, age 92, died Sunday, May 17, 2009, in the company of her family. Mrs. Mozingo married the late Rev. Boyd S. Mozingo in 1932. They lived in and near Wilson, where they raised their only child, the late Lorraine Mozingo Davis. Mrs. Mozingo has been a member of the Church of God for over 50 years and, most recently, the West Wilson Church of God. In addition to her husband and daughter, she is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Bass and Mae Short Bass; her brother, William A. Bass; and her grandson, Boyd Clark Davis.
The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, May 19, 2009, in the chapel of Shingleton Funeral Home at 6 p.m. with the Rev. David Kimbrell officiating. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
She is survived by her granddaughters, great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, son-in-law, niece, nephew and her church family.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-6 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
