KINSTON - Louise Lorraine Mozingo Davis was called home, Monday, Nov. 3, 2003. Lorraine was a mother, wife, retired educator, author and artist. Her educational endeavors included classroom teacher, vocational counselor and North Carolina Department Of Public Instruction Consultant. She later worked as a private industrial and educational consultant in the private sector. She received her education from Wilson's Charles L. Coon High School, Atlantic Christian College and East Carolina University. Upon retirement, she was inducted into the North Carolina Order Of The Long Leaft Pine. She was preceded in death by her father, the Rev. Boyd S. Mozingo.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ramon L. Davis Sr.; two sons, Ramon L. Davis Jr. of Pittsboro and Boyd Clark Davis of Sharpsburg; two daughters, Wendy Lorraine Davis of Pittsboro and Beatrice Joan Davis of Durham; mother, Beatrice Bass Mozingo of Wilson; special granddaughter, Emma A. Davis; and two special family friends, Lynn Britt and Nancy Astrike. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rouse Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Spaugh and the Rev. Dexter Wasson officiating. Burial will follow at Pikeville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Rouse Funeral Home and other times at the home, 2021 Country Trail, Kinston. Memorials may be made to Faith Fellowship Church, 665 Sussex St., Kinston, NC 28501 or Airy Grove Christian Church, 1591 Airy Grove Church Road, Kinston, NC 28501. Sharpsburg-Boyd Clark Davis, 47, of Sharpsburg, died unexpectedly November 2, 2008. Clark was the son of Ramon L. Davis, Sr. and the late Lorraine M. Davis. He served in the United States Marine Corps and the Marine Reserves. Clark graduated from North Lenoir High School. He attended Lenoir and Wayne Community Colleges and was a graduate of Atlantic Christian College. Clark was employed as a computer programmer with MBM Corp. in Rocky Mount. He was an avid fisherman, bowler and scout leader.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. from Rouse Funeral Home with Dr. Randy Spaugh officiating. Interment will follow at Pikeville Cemetery.

In addition to his father, Clark is survived by two sisters, Wendy L. Davis and Joan Davis; older brother, Ramon L. Davis, Jr.; his maternal grandmother, Beatrice Bass Mozingo; his niece and nephew, Emma Astrike-Davis and Evan Astrike-Davis; as well as Lynn Britt and Nancy Astrike.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Airy Grove Christian Church. The family will receive friends Saturday beginning one hour before the service. Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange.
