Funeral services for William Kermit Masingo, 74, of Charlestown, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at St. Catherine Regional Hospital, Charlestown.

He was born April 27, 1933 in Fonda, Ky., the son of William P. and Ella T. Goldsmith Masingo. He was an Army veteran and retired from Ford Motor Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Blazing Star Masonic Lodge 226 and United Auto Workers.

Survivors include his wife, the former Shirley Heilman; three sons, Rex D. Masingo and wife, Valerie, Charles-town, William T. Masingo and wife, Sara, Otisco and Christopher S. Masingo and wife, Dawn, Charlestown; two sisters, Artie Brown, Ringold, Ga. and Pat Hutchinson, Charlestown; two brothers, Lloyd and Frank Masingo, Salisbury. N.C.; four grandchildren, Joshua, Megan, Evan and Bailey; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7 and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
