... I am Gideon Newton Rice's ggreatgranddaughter. I found somethings on Ancestry last night about Samuel Gideon Mozingo and who he married but I also found a lot on his son Samuel William Mozingo in Reno Nevada. There is even a picture of Samuel William. I think you are on the right track about Newton being grandma Jane's dad. This is my family: Cornelius and Jane Mozingo-Rice
