,,, My great grandmother is Effie Ellen Holcomb. She died when my mom was 12 yrs old. Effie married Ralph B. O'Leary in Castleton, KS. There were 5 boys and 3 girls born to Effie and Ralph...Glen, Ray, Carl, Clayton, Ralph (known as Jack), Mary, Doris and my mother - Angeline.
All born in Castleton, KS. They lived briefly in OK - my mom stayed in Hutchinson, KS with cousins - Elsie Cannon. I have pictures of graves of H.N. and Charles C. Holcomb at Laurel Cem but not of Mary E. I didn't know until last week of her burial site. Ira Holcomb married LIzzie Dena Berends and lived in Hutchinson, KS. I would be interested in any info you have...I think H.N. Holcomb's parents were John Mudge and Maria Polly but I wrote two contributers from that line and they could not confirm.
