Property: 09 March 1832 Campbell Co, TN, John MAZINGO bought fifty acres of land from Joseph BARREN for $220. Neighbors: Thomas HEATHER (sic) and John HEATHERLEY (sic). Witnesses Thomas MOOD and William PROFFITT.
Property: 13 January 1834 Campbell Co, TN, John MUZINGO (sic) sold fifty acres to John MILLER. Neighbors: Thomas ROBERTSON/ROBESON (sic), the heirs of Charles BEATCHER (sic), and [John] KINCAID (sic). Richard MORRIS and John R EAVES were witnesses.
Comment : February 1813 Culpeper Co, VA, John MEOZINGO (sic) and John MEOZINGO, Jr. (sic) witnessed the deed of gift from William JOHNSON to William and Mildred MOZINGO.
Comment : 14 March 1813 Culpeper Co, VA, John and John [Jr.] appeared in court to acknowledge witnessing the said deed. These two documents, plus the estate records of John Williams MOZINGO, constitute the only known referen ces to John MOZINGO [Jr.].
Comment : 16 November 1821 Culpeper Co, VA, [John Mozingo] agreed to sell his personal property at auction for payment of a debt due William W. and Charles D. BROWNING. Marshall DUNCAN acted as his agent, and the deed was witn essed by Morgan MOZINGO, John FLETCHER, and Bryant O�BAN

The records indicate that John MUZINGO, who sold land to John MILLER in 1834, died before 1837, leaving only one orphan, Martha). The records also indicate, by association with John KINCAID and John MILLER, that the extended family of John MUZINGO included Lovina and Charles MUZINGO, and possibly James MUZINGO. Additionally, the KINCADE (sic) family neighbored the MOZINGO family in Culpeper County, Virginia. The preponderance of documentary and other circumstantial evidence indicates with near certainty that John MOZINGO, son of John Williams and Winney MOZINGO, and grandson of Charles and Warmouth MOZINGO, moved with his step-mother Levina MOZINGO, brothers, Charles and James MOZINGO, and family from Culpeper County Virginia sometime after 1831 to Campbell County, Tennessee before 1834, and died in Campbell county before September 1837.
