Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia. Born
April 16, 1914 at Princeton, WV, he was a son of the late Henry and
Parthenia (Acres) Smith. He was married to Grace (Mozingo) Smith, who
preceded in death Aug. 22, 2000. Mr. Smith is survived by a son from a
previous marriage, Daniel L. Johnson, of San Diego, Calif., and a
daughter, Mrs. Samuel (Alison) Nicol, of Fairless Hills. Seven
grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive. One sister,
Esther Crooker, of Georgia; also survives. Mr. Smith was of the
Protestant faith. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the
U.S. Army. He was a member of Madden-Wennick Post 518 American Legion,
Rockhill Furnace. Mr Smith retired in 1978 from United States Steel
Corp., Fairless Hills, after 30 years of service. Private funeral
services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will
be made in Saltillo Cemetery.

Grace SMITH, 80, of Mapleton, RD 1, died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22,
2000, at her home in Cass Township, Huntingdon County. Born July 27,
1920, in LaFollette, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Frank and
Mossi (Komer) Mozingo. She was married to Daniel Smith, who survives at
home. One daughter, Mrs. Samuel (Alison) Nicol of Fairless Hills
survives, along with five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two
nieces in California. One brother and four sisters preceded her in
death. Mrs. Smith was of the Protestant faith. She retired from Circle F
Electric Company, Trenton, N.J., after 19 years of service. Funeral
services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25, at the Martin R. Brown
Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with Pastor Daniel Smith, her nephew,
officiating. Interment will be made in the Saltillo Cemetery, Saltillo.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the hour of the
service on Friday.
