BENSON--Maxine Lane Grimes, 58, of 1130 W. Pope Street died Tuesday at her home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel with Revs. Randy Beasley and Ben Grimes officiating. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens in Dunn.

Mrs. Grimes was born in Wayne County to the late Vance and Esther Mozingo Lane. She was preceded in death by a brother, Woodard Lane.

Mrs. Grimes was a license examiner with the N.C. Department of Motor Vehicles.

Survivors include husband Jackie Wayne Grimes; sons, Jason Grimes and George Brian Watts, both of Benson; brothers, Carson Lane and William Lane, both of Mount Olive; and two grandchildren.
