Esther Leighton

Funeral service for Esther L. Leighton, 72, Hutchinson, is July 11 at Gridley Christian Church, Gridley, Kan.

Leighton died July 2 at her home in Hutchinson. She was born May 26, 1937, in Gridley, Kan., to Walter and Esther (Smith) Mozingo. She was a nurse and enjoyed traveling, crocheting, camping and fishing.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; children, Charles Leighton Jr.; Barbara (Mark) Winczewski; Mary Nelson; Lawrence (Kathy) Leighton; Laura Leighton; Tony (Sharon) Leighton; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Hursh; brothers, Roy �Oscar� (Elsie) Mozingo; Gerald (Carlyn) Mozingo; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Esther Mozingo; brothers, Walter I. Mozingo and Melvin Mozingo; and grandchild, John Philipp Leighton.

Interment was at Gridley City Cemetery. Arrangements were by Dobratz-Hantge Chapel, Hutchinson.
