BURLINGTON -- Melvin G. Mozingo, 72, Gridley, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001, at a Burlington hospital.
Mr. Mozingo was a draftsman for Boeing Aircraft. He also was an Army veteran.
He was born Sept. 16, 1929, in Gridley, the son of W.L. and Esther A. Smith Mozingo. He graduated from Gridley High School and moved to Emporia seven years ago. Mr. Mozingo was a member of Phillips-Stuckey-Shaffer Post No. 296 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Gridley.
Survivors include two sisters, Marjorie Hursh and Lillian Leighton, both of Gridley; and three brothers, Walter Mozingo and Roy Mozingo, both of Gridley, and Gerald Mozingo, Lebanon, Tenn.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. Burial will be at Gridley Cemetery.
