Hi Gayle, sorry no info on Aaron going back to George Hnson. His father was William, mother was Mary. Talked to the 83 yr old granddaughter of Mary Argent Mozingo Sullivan this April. Mary Argent lived with her family for many years in Salt Lake. She confirmed that Louisa was Mary Argent mother and Winniford was her grandmother. Mary Argent had dark red hair and very Irish in appearance .She also gave me the following:

In1854 Louisa and the State took Aaron Hinson to court to prove his being the father of Mary Argent. Signing the bond was Aaron Hinson, Richard Anderson and John Robinson. Court ruled he was and penalty assessed. Signing bond for penalty was Richard D. Hinson Louisa name at court time was Louisa Mozingo not Hinson. Winniford b. 1798 Louisa 1820 d.1876 Mary Argent b. 1854 d.1929
This info came from Mary Argent oldest son James Henry Sullivan who was born Nahunta N. C. as were the other nine children. He wrote a book on Ruffin and Mary Argent that I hope to obtain soon. Lke you said before the Mozingo and Hinson ties went way back.

Sami had sent a 1860 census for N.C. and in it listed Winny Mezinge and famly. Mary Argent always claimed her maiden name was Mezinge and not util after her death did the family find the name Mozingo. All just points of interest in following a family line. Jeanette
