...When my father was living we used to have many indepth discussions about the Mozingo family tree and as you are finding out there was a lot of strange things that went on....

Daddy told me of a man named Charlie Parrish who fathered several Mozingo children. They were raised by Mozingo men but were in deed Parrishs. When I read the information about Logan Mozingo and that his father was a Parrish, I wondered if his father was Charlie. From my understanding, Charlie married Rachael Ellis Parrish. She is the mother to Beulah B. Parrish Ellis and Pauline V. Ellis. Remember Beulah married Ruffin and Pauline married Rufus Jr. Rachel had another daughter, Lillie Parrish Mozingo. Only Lillie was Charlie's daughter. I have no clue who Beulah and Pauline belong to. Charlie was a real womanizer from what I understand. He also got one of Rufus Sr. and Nancy's daughters pregnant but I don't know her name. I was told he also got Pauline pregnant and the result was Wesley B. Mozingo who was raised by Rufus Jr. Rufus Sr. and Nancy also had another daughter (don't know name) who married and had a baby by George Mozingo and the child was Paul. Daddy said that George was of no relation to us and was from Fremont which is a town north of Goldsboro.

Now with all that said, I down think any of the soap operas have anything on the Mozingo family.

After all I read and heard, I'm beginning to wonder if I'm a Mozingo or a Hinson -- per Elvy Mozingo.

Charlie eventually committed suicide and I've see his death certificate somewhere online.

...My husband is the great grandson of Logan Mozingo. Logan's mother is Nannie Mozingo. I'm pretty sure we got that information from Logan's marriage certificate. I'll have to dig through my files to make sure though. I've always believe that George was also Nannie's son, but have no proof. My husband's aunt says that she believes Logan's father was a Parrish, but again, no proof of that
