Alan's death was very sudden and unexpected. He will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Alan is survived by his wife, Denise; his children Megan, age 12; Morgan, age 7; Madison, age 6; and Mason, age 1; his parents, Doug and Kay Monzingo of Pflugerville; brothers, Jeff Monzingo and wife, Sandy of Pflugerville; Mike Monzingo and wife, Suzi of Oakdale, California; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty and Loren Orme of Hutto; brother-in-law, Steve Orme and wife, Bonnie of Cedar Park; nephews, Clay Monzingo, Cory Monzingo, Brian Monzingo, and Eric Orme; nieces, Jennifer Monzingo and Jayme Ward; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Alan was born on February 15, 1967, in Rotan, Texas. He is a 1985 graduate of Pflugerville High School and was employed by SBC Communications Inc. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pflugerville. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2002, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, Pflugerville, Texas. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2002, at the First United Methodist Church of Pflugerville, 500 W. Pecan St., Pflugerville, Texas with the burial service to follow at Cook-Walden Capital Park, 14501 N. IH 35, Pflugerville, Texas. Pallbearers will be: Clay Monzingo, David Waddle, Lorren Mott, Ted Westerman III, Scott Eivens, Noe McCarthy, Walter O'Connor and Jim Barker.
