Sammie, that is just it, I don't have any proof of her maiden name, Mrs. Aubrey C. Cheatam of Greenville AL and Howard Skinner of White City OR both told me when I first started researching my Skinner family in the 1970's and I had only listed her on the family group sheets as "Nancy" that she was a Mozingo. They are both descendants of Benjamin Skinner and wife Priscilla. As I said Tom Mozingo editor of the Mozingo Newsletter also put her in William and Laney's family. I am sure that Howard is long dead as he was in his 80's when I was writing to him. I'm not sure of Mrs. Cheatam. I have never found any marriage record for Frederick Skinner and wife Nancy. But with having a minister in the family he probably performed the ceremony and was not recorded but in someone's Bible. They were both mentioned in Benjamin's will as receiving a slave each. Did she died before William Mozingo as the last land transaction I have for Frederick and Nancy was in 1832. He is alone with the children on the 1840 census and remarried in 1845. Their last child was born in 1830. They were on the 1810 Darlington Co. Census, their son James was born in 1811 in SC and my Frederick Jr. was born 1 Mar 1812 in KY. They were then listed on the Union Co. KY 1820 Census. Brenda

I have been several times to the Old Skinner Graveyard in Clay, Webster Co. KY Where Frederick Jr. and his wife Alley are buried. It is in extremely badcondition and everytime I go more and more headstones are down and is more overgrown than the last time. It is between two fields on a field road and in a thicket with numerous trees. I am considering trying to take it over and get
it cleaned up. ... Almost everyone in the county is related to the Skinners. I believe that Frederick Sr. and Nancy are also buried there-no proof, but Webster Co. was created in 1860 out of Union, Henderson, and Hopkins Co. Brenda
