"You don't really believe that resurrection stuff, do you?" someone says.  "When you're dead, you're dead, aren't you? How can anyone come back to life?" Well, I do believe in the Resurrection! Jesus rose from the dead because he hadn't sinned, and therefore Death couldn't hold Him. "Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him." (Romans 6:9) Moreover, as it is written:

"And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." 1 Corinthians 15: 17-22

So without Jesus' atoning sacrifice on the Cross, and even more His resurrection, we would still be doomed. But praise God, He is alive, and a conqueror over sin! Mohammed is dead. Buddha is dead. Confucius is dead. But Jesus Christ is alive today, and waiting for you to let Him into your life.

Remember, "he that believeth on him [Jesus] is not condemned". "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved[.]" (Acts 16:31) That's all you have to do. Just believe in Jesus, God's love-offering to you. Believe that He died for you, that He paid the penalty for your sins by shedding His blood for you. Trust Him. He is the Mediator between you and God. "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance." Hebrews 9:14-15

God's grace, given when you put your faith in Christ, is all you need to get saved. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 "But without faith it is impossible to please [God]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Hebrews 11:6

But first and foremost, you need to repent of your sins. Repentance goes hand in hand with being born again. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord, and he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you" (Acts 3:19-20) This involves acknowledging to God that you have done wrong in His sight, asking His forgiveness and making a commitment to start living righteously.

"As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:19-20

Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart today. He knocks, but He won't break the door down. He wants you to open the door of your heart and life to Him, but He won't force you to do it. It is your decision to make. But God loves you, and He wants to restore the relationship that has been broken by sin. Jesus Christ is the means by which you can know God. He is the only way to God; there is NO other! Anyone who tells you otherwise contradicts the Word of God, and is either a liar or deluded.
