Banana Bread
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose maida
1 teaspoon refined bicarbonate of soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup margarine
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/3 cups mashed ripe bananas

Method
Preheat oven to 175 degrees C. Lightly grease a loaf pan. In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake in a preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then invert.
Makes 12 servings.

Bread Rolls
Ingredients:
240 g flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar
30 g butter
2 tbsp milk powder
1/2 egg

Method:
Sift flour and salt together. Add milk powder and mix well. Add butter and a little water and knead until the dough is soft and elastic. Beat well. Cover and let stand in a warm place till rises to double its size. Shape into desired rolls. Bake in a hot oven for 20 minutes
