Where's Mama? - part two 'The Return of the trio'

"Where's Mama?" said Tay.

"I don't know," Isaac answered.

The boys looked at each other.

"Mama!" they shouted together.

Isaac started blubbering.

"I knew we shouldn't have taken her with us to the shop!"

"It's all right Isaac," Taylor said, comforting Ike. "We'll find her."

"But.... but.... but," Isaac said between sobs. "She was my favorite cat!"

"She wasn't even your cat," Zac muttered under his breath.

Tay shushed him. "Can't you see poor Ike's upset enough as it is?"

"Mama!" they called again.

"Well obviously she can't hear us. I mean she's only a cat," said sarcastic little Zac.

That made Isaac start crying again.

"She wasn't only a cat," Ike defended. "She was a very good friend."

"Now look what you've done!" Tay yelled at Zac. "It's okay Ike."

Just then they heard horns beeping.

The boys turned around and saw a frightened little cat sitting in the middle of the road.

"Mama!" Isaac yelled and he ran a over onto the road and grabbed her.

Horns beeped again.

"Get off the road you stupid kid!!" someone yelled.

"Sorry," Ike said irritably.

"Mama!" Zac and Tay yelled and ran over to see their beloved cat.

"Oh Mama you poor baby," Taylor cooed.

"Come on," Zac said. "Let's go home."

"Okay. Come on Mama, let's go, "Ike called to the cat.

Later at home.

"All right, which one of you's have been playing with my barbies?" Jessica asked.

"How do you know it was one of us?" Isaac asked uncomfortably.

"Because you guys would do something like that," Jessie answered.

"Hmmm I wonder who would do something like that," Zac said playfully. "Would it be Tay? No Tay doesn't play with barbies anymore. Would it be me? No I have my own barbies to play with and pretend their Pamela Lee like Ike does with Jessie’s barbies."

"Zachary Walker Hanson I swear that I'm going to kill you, you little rat!!"

"That wasn't very nice Zac, especially after you promised you wouldn't tell," Taylor said.

Jessie burst out crying.

"I'm telling Mum!" she cried, and ran off.

"Oh great, now I'm gonna get it." Ike said. "No thanks to you," he said shooting an icy glare at Zac.

Zac smiled meanly.

"Isaac Hanson get here now!" Mrs. Hanson yelled.

Isaac slunk off towards the kitchen.

"Zac that was really mean," Taylor said. "And you just got yourself in trouble."

"What do you mean?" Zac asked.

"Did you forget our little deal? You said that you wouldn't tell about the barbies if we didn't tell about you being out when you were grounded. Remember?"

"Oh no," Zac moaned.

"Don't expect Isaac not to tell," Tay said.

"I know, I know. There goes my interview with the Barbie magazine," Zac said.

"Zachary!!"

"Coming," Zac said as he left the room.

Later that night.

"It's not fair," Zac moaned as the boys got ready for bed that night.

"Now I'm grounded for another week and I don't get to do the Barbie magazine interview!" Zac sighed. "Life sucks."

"Yeah, well I'm grounded for two weeks and I have to buy Jessie a new Barbie doll 'cause she doesn't want my germs."

"I wonder why," Zac said. "I wouldn't want your rabies either."

Isaac mmmbopped Zac with a pillow.

"Well," Tay said. "I don't feel sorry for either of yous. Ike, you shouldn't of been fooling around with Jessie’s barbies, and Zac, you shouldn't have been out while you were grounded. You are both very naugh-."

"Shut-up Tay!" Zac and Ike said together.

"-ty." Taylor finished. "But maybe I can talk to Mum and ask if you, Zac, can go to the Barbie interview anyway, and reason with her about you, Ike, having to buy Jess a new Barbie."

"Oh would you Tay?" Zac asked.

"Yes I would." Taylor answered. "But on one condition. You and Ike have to kiss and make up- right now."

"Oh okay," said Zac. "I'm sorry Isaac for telling Jessie about the barbies."

"And I'm sorry for telling about you going out when you were grounded," Isaac said. "Come here little bro.!"

Zac ran over to Ike and Isaac wrapped Zac in a bear hug.

"Now that's better," Tay said nodding his head in approval.

Ike started sobbing.

"What’s the matter Ike?" asked Taylor, obviously hearing the cries.

Ike looked up. "I just feel so lucky to have two wonderful brothers like you guys who I know will always be there for me when ever I need you!" he cried.

"Yeah me too." said Zac.

"I know just what you mean." said Taylor and joined his brothers in a hug, trying hard not to cry himself.

"You are just so supportive of me in everything I do," Isaac said. " I mean like, say when I am at a concert or something and we, like, hear fans screaming, how many people actually scream out my name? Not very many, huh, cause, like, their all screaming Taylor or Zac, like, really loud but no ones screaming Isaac eh. Do you know how horrible that is to hear every one saying how much they love your little brothers but not you?"

"Oh, I never thought of it that way." stated Taylor.

" Anyway, you guys are so nice to me, like, giving me support and faith in myself because just because no ones yelling your name it doesn’t matter because it not that that matters it's if you're satisfied with what you are doing and you think you sound good don't worry about it cause that doesn’t matter." Ike said.

See how Isaac gets into his massive talks? Well he's in a talky mood at the moment, sadly.

"Well that’s what brothers are for," said Zac. "To give support when needed."

"Cool." said Tay.

Ike wiped his tears. "Oh well, this won't buy the baby a shirt, we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow. We'd better get some sleep."

"Oh, damn, I was just in the middle of braiding Kristy's hair," said Zac.

"Who's Kristy?" asked Tay.

Zac rolled his eyes. "Duh, where were you when we last played Barbies, in outer space?"

"I was here!" said Tay.

"Yeah, me too." inputted Ike.

"As a matter of fact, Kristy is the new name for the newest Barbie. I can't believe you don't remember, you were meant to be being her sister." said Zac.

"I thought it was called Melanie!" protested Tay.

"Yeah, like, two times before that." said Zac, gently brushing Kristy's hair.

Taylor threw his hands up in the air. "Well we play so much, I can't help forgetting their current names!"

"Well, we can now say in interviews which Hanson brother has the best memory - me!" Zac was now getting a wee bit smart to his older brother.

"Zac, you are so cocky aren’t you, you smart little dick!" Taylor yelled.

"Hey, hey you guys, shush, you'll wake up the house, it's really late," said Isaac, glancing at the digital bedside alarm clock which now read 8:15. " And if you don't be quiet another thing we can say in our interviews is that we fight over Barbie names, not just T.V remotes, how would you like that?"

Taylor and Zac automatically stopped squabbling.

"We would not want to say that! It makes us sound like girls!" said Zac.

"And no way would we want to give our secret away either." Tay said, looking worried.

"Well you know we can't help thinking like girls - it's a natural phenomenon." said Ike matter-of-factly.

"Yeah Tay, you had to do a good cover up the other day in that press conference when you said that you'd never had a girlfriend and you weren’t looking for one. But then you quickly said ' but I love girls' - that was good thinking." said Zac.

"Thanks Zac, I was getting myself into a kinda sticky situation there." smiled Taylor.

"Yes you did, " said Ike. " But now I think it's time for bed - NOW. By the way Tay, weren't you going to talk to Mum about Zac and my punishments?"

"Yeah, but she'll probably be asleep now." he said.

" Oh, okay it probably wouldn't be a good idea now. She gets awfully grumpy when she’s tired, we'd most probably get into even more trouble." said Ike.

"Any way, even if she wasn't asleep I would wait until tomorrow to talk to her because now I am going to go have shower and wash my hair with my 'herbal essences' shampoo. Don't you think that gives the most volume and shine?" asked Taylor.

"No, I don't. 'Pantene ProV' definitely does." argued Zac.

"You're just saying that because you've signed a contract to do their shampoo ads on T.V, Zac!" shouted Taylor.

"I am not!" Zac shouted back. " You're just jealous because they didn't ask you first!"

"Bullshit!" Tay yelled.

"Guy's would you please be quiet!" pleaded Ike.

"Shut up Ike!" said Zac.

"Yeah you stay out of this!" snapped Tay. He turned back to Zac. " And yes they did ask me first because everyone knows my hair is nicer than yours."

"Oh it is not."

"But I said no because I am a strong believer in what I think is right and I use herbal essences. I used to use Pantene but I just wasn't getting the right results as what I'd hoped so I made the switch to herbal essences and I haven't regretted my decision for 1 minute since. If Herbal essences offered me a part in a commercial, sure I'd think about taking up the offer but I think Joseph Gordon-Levitt is doing a great job at the moment." Said Taylor, obviously feeling extremely strongly for his love of herbal essences shampoo.

Zac turned away, with his nose in the air.

" Why don't you just use the 100% natural 'cracked egg' method of shampooing like me?" asked Isaac.

Zac and Taylor looked at each other and started laughing, before they realised they'd just had a major argument and then scowled at each other and looked away.

"Yeah well maybe we can actually afford shampoo because we have fans." said Taylor sarcastically, before he realized what he'd just said.

Zac glared at Tay, and then looked at Ike who was staring at his brother, not coming to terms with what he'd just said.

"Oops," said Tay, quietly. "Sorry Ike."

It was then when Isaac broke down into a waterfall of tears.

"Taylor you dick! How do you think Ike feels now!" said Zac.

"Not good." said Tay.

"He feels terrible!" yelled Zac. "You are the most inconsiderate guy I know."

"Ike I'm sorry! Is there anything I can do?" asked Tay.

"Just go have you're shower." Ike sobbed softly.

Taylor picked up his Barbie matching tank top and boxers, set 3, and went to have a shower.

While he was in the shower Taylor thought about lots of things. He thought about his Barbie tank top and boxers, of which he had 7 identical sets, and how he never failed to wear them every single night except when he was staying the night at a friends house when he wore his plain red tank top and 'Taz' boxers. He would never be caught dead wearing Barbie clothes to bed at his friends house! That would be too embarrassing.

He thought about his family Isaac, Zac, Jessica, Avery, Mackenzie, Dad and his pregnant Mum, whom he was so looking forward to the birth of his next brother or sister, and had already contributed his fare share of possible names such as Kevin, Jonathan, Scott and Frank for a boy and Catherine, Jennifer, Pauline, Rosemary, Susanna and Fredrica for girls.

He thought about being famous and how well he delt with the challenges fame had made in his life at such a young age. Geez, he was only 14 and he was already receiving marriage proposals!! What did the future hold for him and his brothers? God only knows.

He thought about puberty. No need to explain in to the details here.

But mostly he thought about Isaac. How could he have been so stupid to have said something as mean as that to his face? He knew how sensitive his older brother was, so he didn't know why he said it. He knew he was getting a bit carried away over that shampoo thing with Zac so he understood why he couldn't stop himself from saying it but there was one feeling Taylor couldn't get out of his head - guilt.

So he decided to get out of the shower. "I've done enough thinking for one night," he thought. " And besides, my skin is going all wrinkly."

When he walked into the bedroom which him and his bothers shared, Isaac and Zac were sitting on the top bunk (Isaac’s bed) smiling and listening to there CD, Middle of Nowhere. They were laughing at the bit in MmmBop where Isaac goes ' is it going to be a daisy or a rose' .

"God, I sound like a dick there!" exclaimed Ike foolishly.

"You do actually!" laughed Zac.

Cool! Ike was back to his old, stupid, pathetic, dickey (the list is endless!) self!

A surprised Taylor said, "Isaac I'm sorry I didn't mean it, will you forgive me?"

"Of course I'll forgive you," smiled Ike. "I've just had a talk with Zac here and he's taught me not to take everything to heart."

"Yeah, I talked to him." said Zac proudly.

"That’s good." said Tay. "I'll never say anything like that ever again." (even though he knew he would)

Guess what? Yes it's hug time again. The boys hugged each other.

"I'll help you roll out your trundle bed, Zac." said Taylor.

"Thanks Tay." said Zac.

And they rolled out the trundle bed.

When everyone was tucked up cozily in bed Zac said, "Hey, have you guys heard the Barbie girl song?"

"Oh Zac! I'm not in the mood to talk about Barbies!" said Isaac.

"Yeah, me neither." said Tay.

"Oh well, I have a feeling it's going to be a smash hit!" said Zac. "But if you guys don't want to hear...."

"No wait!" said Isaac. "Will it be bigger than MmmBop?"

"Hope not." said Zac.

"Yeah me too." said Tay.

"Hey, Ike, what's the time?" asked Zac.

Ike took one look at the time and nearly fell off his bunk. "Geez, it's 9:01! This is the latest I've stayed up in weeks, since MmmBop got to number one!"

"Man, that was a night to remember," said Tay. "We stayed up partying till 10 o'clock!"

"That was sure pretty awesome!" said Zac.

"Okay, goodnight everyone." said Ike.

"Goodnight." said the others.

"hey, Ike did you put Mama out?" asked Taylor.

"No."

"Did you Zac?"

"No."

"Then where’s Mama?"
