Founded in 1927, Austin Peay State University is named for Tennessee Gov. Austin Peay, who was a native Clarksvillian. It is the regional state assisted institution of higher learning and is the designated liberal arts university of all Tennessee public institutions. APSU offers more than 50 majors in associate, bachelor's, master's and education specialist's degrees with additional areas of concentration. The brothers of the Theta Tau Chapter are active in an array of musical activities at APSU.
