William Eldred lived in Yarmouth, Massachusetts. He was a surveyor of highways in 1662, 1674, 1675, and 1677. He had two brothers, Robert and Samuel.
The proof linking this William Eldred as the father of Sarah who married William Bentley is by no means solid (in fact, many genealogists list this Sarah's husband as John Colby). Hopefully, further research might dig up something more definitive, but until now, the Eldred or Eldridge family of Yarmouth is included here because it is frequently linked to the Bentley family.
