Came from England as a stowaway child who knew his name only as "Peter." When a man tried to pull him from his hiding place, Peter bit him earning the name "Biter." He lived in Limington (York County), Limerick (Aroostook County), Unity, and Freedom, Maine. Fought in the Revolutionary War.
