He probably came aboard the "Truelove" 12 SEP 1635. He settled in Dedham and then moved to Scituate in 1649.

"William Barstow was a ship-builder and also built the first bridge over the North River at Stony Beach in 1657. He became the owner and proprietor of a tavern there. He was a highway surveyor, and a member of the committee to 'perambulate the patent line in 1666'."
