INDEX

Salaverus/Sylvanus/Silvanus/Silvenus Teed/Tidd/Tidley, probably from Long Island (Huntington), was a corporal and drummer in Capt. Abraham DePeyster's (1752-1798) Grenadier Company of the Kings American Regiment (KAR) and had an eye shot out in battle. He was assigned a tract of land in New Brunswick next to his brothers Elias and Solomon, and near to Titus Way, whose daughter would marry his grandson David Dow. Robert Piercy Dow identifies him as serving in the Federalist Army.
