Chapter Seven

(Mandy's point of view)

The day of the wedding....

“I am so nervous!” I said to JC’s girlfriend and my best friend Bonnie.

“It’s all right Mandy. You can do it. Just go out there and make Justin the happiest man on this planet.” Bonnie said, patting me on the shoulder. I had MAJOR butterflies in my stomach.

“I can’t do this!” I said and proceeded to lock myself in the bathroom. Bonnie was pounding on the door.

“Here’s your dress.” Bonnie said. I opened the door and she handed me a dry cleaners bag. I grabbed it and quickly shut the door. My dress was simple. The top had no sleeves or straps and it had a beautiful rose pattern on it. It was off white and had a long train trailing behind it. After putting on my dress and zipping it up, I shyly stepped out from the bathroom. I was met with a chorus of hoots and whistles from JC, Chris, Joey, and Lance who had joined Bonnie in the dressing room.

“You look amazing.” Lance said giving me a hug.

“Come here and let me do your hair.” Bonnie said, pushing me into a chair in front of the vanity. Bonnie put my hair up in a simple french twist with curls framing my face.

“Not bad if I do say so myself.” Bonnie said proudly. I made sure I had everything. Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.

“Are you ready Mandy? It’s show time.” JC said, giving me a kiss on the cheek. I walked down the hallway toward my destiny.
