Chapter Eight

(1 week later)

Meg took a deep breath as she and Taylor stepped out of the Tulsa Airport. They were met by Diana, Isaac and Zac Hanson.

“See?”Zac said, gesturing toward Meg and Taylor’s interlocked hands. “I told ya they’d get together.” Taylor laughed.

“It took one very persistent friend, her cousin, and the band O Town.” Diana raised her eyebrows in question.

“O Town?” Meg held out her left hand.

“Taylor proposed to me on stage while O Town performed.” The three Hansons looked confused.

“My friend Ava’s cousin is O Town’s manager and she had O Town pull me and Taylor onstage and he proposed.”

“I’m so happy for you guys!” Diana exclaimed. Meg smiled

“We want to have the wedding in California but we need help so we came to you.” Diana smiled

“Of course. We’ll head to the house and we’ll start planning things.” When they arrived at the house, Diana and Meg sat down to make preparations. Meg made a guest list, leaving 50 people each for her and Taylor’s parents to invite people. Diana went to her room and then returned.

“Here’s some books with wedding and bridesmaids dresses. I’ve kept these here since Marit and Isaac got engaged." Meg stated flipping through the books. Half an hour later, she had found her dress. It was a sleeveless and strapless with a long train behind it. The bridesmaids dresses were sleeveless and reached their ankles.

“They’re perfect!” Meg exclaimed.

“Have you guys set a date?” Meg nodded.

“April 11. We’ll start flying everybody out a week before.”

“I’m so glad you two finally got together. I was afraid your guys friendship was over for good.” Meg shook her head.

“I thought I could hate him but his persistence and compassion chipped away my hatred and I realized that I’m in love with him.” Diana smiled.

“I’m glad you guys are happy.”

“I think I finally am.”
