recently announced that the band Ours will be opening for them on the first
leg of the fall tour. stay tuned for details/ confirmed dates.

jakob is being aired, he's performing a cover of peace, love, &
understanding
*the wallflowers (including the new tourist guitarist, Yogi) recorded
a new song called "The Empire in my Mind" that will be used as
the theme song for the CBS series "the Guardian," the show
will premiere Tuesday, September 24th at 9:00 p.m. (eastern & pacific
time)
according to yahoo the creater of the show, "Hollander said he
listened to a lot of Wallflowers tunes when he was writing the pilot for
"The Guardian" a couple years back. "Their music was part of
the fabric of what was emotionally influencing me as I wrote the
pilot," "
although the song will not appear on Red Letter Days, Jakob says that they
will try to include it somewhere else, perhaps as a bonus cd
*the wallflowers can also be seen performing "everybody out of the
water" on the season premiere of CSI which airs Sept. 26th
*the wfs performed at the rock and roll hall of fame on sept. 3rd, which
was taped and will air on MTV on December 11th
*the video for When You're on Top was filmed recently and directed by Marc
Webb. Right now the video is in the editing process and will be aired
