This film was made
during the last six weeks of the 2005-2006 school year by students in
Mr. Greene's seventh- and eighth-grade general music classes. It was our
contribution to the first annual RMS Diversity Fair. Students
wrote, produced, filmed, interviewed, organized, edited, and promoted
the film.
Embracing Diversity Across Time was played in regular rotation on
Memphis City Schools' Cable Channel 19-TV throughout the
'06-'07 and '07-'08 school years. |

Ridgeway Middle
School received a $2,500 grant from the 2006 Best Buy Teach
Award competition for the students' use of technology in creating
the film. As a grant winner, RMS was qualified to compete for the $15,000
grant (which we won!). Our winning entry focused on
continued use of technology to develop integrated units and innovative
audio/visual projects involving all RMS students. |
