And why the name NeedlePeg?
A soundboard has several VU (volume unit) meters, with needles noting the volune for various mics picking up sound.  When a needle hits the red boundary, noting maximum loudness that the system can handle, one is said to be "pegging the needle".  Hence, the name NeedlePeg - a word picture that alludes to maximizing a system - and for the company NeedlePeg, maximizing service to the customer.
