There are literally thousands of buildings in our towns and cities, lying idle, unoccupied, some deteriorating, some awaiting redevelopment and others left to decay for commercial reasons. These empty, unused buildings represent a waste of resources. Regenerarts exists to recoup some of that waste, by locating buildings suitable for short-term use as workshop, gallery and installation spaces for young artists, interacting within their local communities.

The inspiration and aspiration of these projects is to empower people to take responsibility for our community and our environment. To take action on the ground to create a space for that community to learn the art of living. To encourage and explore interaction between varied mediums of art and its relationships with humanity. Art as therapy, self discovery, communication. |
