The 25th annual Del Oro Silver Spectacular and Review was very successful! We hosted 20 bands in Parade and 20 bands in the Field Competition. The weather was perfect. Jackie Wygal, chairing the event for the 2nd year in a row, did a fine job with pulling off another great fundraiser for the band.

    This year’s Grand Marshals are Grant and Carrie Carmichael, who devoted many hours to the band program over the past 10 years or so. Grant built the great judges stand, a portable trailer unit that is used every year at the Spectacular parade. Grant also built the trailer (actually salvaged it and improved it) - it’s the really big and nice trailer that is used to haul band equipment and uniforms to all our away events.

    Carrie served for several years on the Band Supporters board as Secretary, and she organized many of the hospitality (food and drinks) for events at the school. They both put in many hundreds of hours on the past Bingo program that was the backbone of our fundraising program. Grant and Carrie continue to volunteer and donate much of their time and talents to the band program, even without having a student in the band!

    The Band Supporters would like to thank all the volunteers who helped put on this successful Band Spectacular. We appreciate all you do to help raise funds to provide a quality band program for our children!
