1. Balurina, and this Website.

1.1 What is FAQ?

FAQ stands for Frequently-Asked Questions, meaning just basic points of interest. Everything is subject to adding to.

1.2 Who is Balurina?

That's me-I run this site. I'm fourteen, from Canada, and am too tall for my own good.

1.3 Why do you run this website?

I realize that there are hundreds of sites dedicated to CATS on the web. I guess I just wanted to challenge myself to do something different, as well as show ym appreciation for my favourite show. :)

1.4 Can I use images and/or ideas from this site?

To an extent. Please see Credits & Disclaimers for more information.

1.5 Can I link to your site? Please do! :) I hope to have link banners up soon, but I'd love a text link. I'd be forever indebted to you.

1.6 How can I contribute to this site?

Just Send Me anything that comes to mind, whether it's fanfiction, links for my link page, art, sounds, videos, comments, critisism, insults, confusions, pictures, graphics or anything else you can think of. Next question!

2. General Info

2.1 What is CATS?

Cats is a musical performed in various places around the world such as New York, London, Hamburg, Austria, Japan, Mexico, and Malaysia. It is the longest-running musical in theatre history (defeating A Chorus Line which formally held the record, but Les Miserables is unfortunatly fast approaching the record-breaking mark.) and has won seven Tony awards including one for the Best Musical.

2.2 When did CATS open?

CATS opened on Broadway October 7, 1982 at the Winter Garden Theater in New York.

2.3 When did CATS close?

In London, May 11th, 2002.

3. Merchandise

3.1 What foreign recordings are available?

The London Cast recording (which has been believed to be long out of print) is still be obtainable from all the three European sites, at a cheaper price than Amazon.com (which not only operates in the U.S., but in the U.K., Germany and France). In addition, the French site has the Paris cast recording on sale, and the German site has both the Hamburg and Viennese cast recordings on sale as well. Now it is quite easy for anyone of you to obtain these recordings.

3.2 Where can I get a costume?

Costumes are generally available on Ebay when a production of CATS closes, but in between closings authentic costumes are very rare. The easiest route is making your own-there are lots of pages on the net you can do this with. Obsidia's Site is an excellent reference for this, with links.!

4. Characters

4.1 Who do you spell the name of Mungojerrie's friend?

Many people spell it as Rumpleteazer, but it is actually Rumpelteazer on the Broadway soundtrack. However, I have heard that the London version spells it as Rumpleteazer, but T.S. Eliot spells it as Rumpelteazer (like on the Broadway soundtrack), so that is probably the correct way. I, personally, spell it Rumpleteazer.

4.2 Who is Griddlebone?
