Art

Although I have no artistic ability whatsoever, I like to try to broaden my perspectives and increase my appreciation for the work of those who do. These links cover a wide array of sites, from classical art sites to individual artists efforts. If you are looking for something special to use on a page or site you will probably be able to find something here. I use pictures I find on these sites all the time. I chose this picture from Jezebel's Mirror because it was taken in Bruce Sterlings bathroom. He is one of my very favorite modern science fiction writers and I couldn't resist.

All of the first sites are what I consider classical art collections. You will find links to a lot of classic museum collections from around the world. If you are a student, or just looking to learn more about art, you will surely find something here.

There are also links here to the sites of individual artists whom I found interesting. Not classic, they are never the less clearly creative and artistic.

There is also a link for kids to learn more about art and how to make their own art and discover their own artistic abilitys, take a look at Art Adventures. I even included coloring book sites, so they can print out pages to color. Great for trips and rainy day activities. Take a look.

Of course there are art museums and other types of museums. And believe me, some of these museums are very other. There is the condiment museum, a collection of those little condiment packs from airlines and dinners around the world. The Ouiji Board museum, be careful what questions you ask, they might get answered. After all, there's more to museums than paint on canvas.

This page has really gotten out of hand. I originally intended it to be simple little list of links to help me and others finds images or get some coloring book pages for the kids. Now just look at it! It's the biggest page on my whole site! And I don't even have links here to any gif or jpeg sites...hey...there's an idea. A page about how to build a website. From where to get a free site to html coaching to links for finding images. I am going to get right on that.
