Off my beaten path at least...

These are sites that make me wonder what the heck else I'm missing out there on the web.

I love the Lord of the Rings books, take a look at the official site for the movies.

Not Proud is a site where people anonymously confess to the things they wish they hadn't done. Some of them are funny, some are sad, some are just bragging or lying I think.

Dreams and nightmares is about a study being done in Canada, the study is not complete as yet but the results are very interesting. You can check out other peoples dreams, or tell them about one of your own, anonymously of course. The site is unreliable, but when it's up, it's makes some interesting veiwing.

Heard something that sounds like it could 'almost' be true. Check here to find out if you are on to the latest urban legend.Urban Legends is the place to look to see if the latest street horror story you heard has any truth to it. Purportal.com is meta-search site of myth and hoax exposing sites, including the latest virus hoax or urban myth.

Muted Faith is a site that is very creative, very personal and very interesting. Give it a look. Find out what kind of mage you are, or villian, or high school stereotype. Take one of the 'highly scientific' quizzes under the humor link.

Voluntary Human Extinction Movement They are very serious. They hope to talk everyone into not having kids and erasing the human race. I had to look at the site. I'm kind of ashamed of myself, I make it a point not to slow down and rubberneck at wrecks on the highway. Take a look, but take it with a grain of salt.

Courtesy Flush is good advice for everyday etiquette. Who cares which fork to use? It's probably a spork anyway!

They Rule is a conspiricy site. It's truely excellent. I thought it was appropriate to put it on the same page as Urban Legends, and it smacks of irony too. I love the way this site's put together. Someone who knows how put this site up. It shows the surpirsing interlocking of the boards of directors of the most powerful mega corporations in the world. Plan to spend some time.

Need to preform a wedding on short notice? You can become a legally ordained minister of the Universal Life Church in about 3 minutes online. It's perfectly legal in all 50 states, and it's free(love that word!), and it's for life.
