This should not be a memorial poem
For you had so much to give.
We should be celebrating
A life that was meant to live.

For some reason we don't understand
It was your time to go.
And although we cannot comprehend
We pray someday we'll know.

Did God decide that he needed you?
More than we who loved you so.
Were you destined to be an angel
Are you watching us below?

Please know that we love you
And miss you more each day.
But knowing you're with Our Lord
Takes some of the pain away.

You need to know how proud we are
That God gave you to us for awhile.
And that we know some day
We'll again see your wonderful smile.

Until the day we're together
And our family whole once more.
Enjoy your time in Paradise
And greet us at Heaven's door.
