So far, today has been pretty useless. I woke up this morning thinking that I'd have plenty to do, but nothing has really gone as planned. First, Jake decided that he was going to spend the day with his family. That was fine with me. I took a shower, got dressed, and was putting my shoes on when the stomach cramps kicked in. I hate stomach cramps.
Two of my roommates are also gone for the day, which leaves Jane and I here by ourselves. I've tried really hard to put myself in the "homework" mood, but it's just not working out. Lately, I've had so much on my plate that when I actually do have time to just "veg" out, that's exactly what I do.
On a brighter note, two of my eight-week classes have just ended. I no longer have to get up at the butt-crack of dawn every day to play tennis. Nor do I have to go out on, what are now, frosty-nights to learn the cha-cha and the fox-trot. Besides, cold nights are best enjoyed with a pair of warm, fuzzy slippers and hot cocoa.
Speaking of fuzzy slippers, maybe I'll get some for my birthday next week. I found out that a few family members, including my parents, will be coming to visit me next weekend. Chuck E. Cheese anyone? Yeah, I know I'm a big kid, but I like it like that.
My mother, bless her, sent me home a few weeks ago with my own present (wrapped of course). After being forced to stare at it for a few days, the tape on the wrapping started to come off all by itself. Would you believe it? It was pure torture and I even told my mother how evil she was for subjecting me to such a thing. Anyway, she gave me permission to open the package, but not to look inside. Hmmmm....
Two presents are much better than one, but right now I'm going to see how far my patience will take me.
I know this is a rather short post, but I've got to go for my daily walk before it gets colder, or darker, or both.
TTFN.
