On Brainard's and Ora Bertha's application for marriage license, dated Oct. 13, 1911, Mobile County, Alabama, it shows that he is 29 years old(? - 34 years?), 6 ft. 2 in. tall, weighs 147 lbs, native of Florida, residence in Apalachicola, FL and occupation of mechanic.

On Ora Bertha's and Brainard's application for a marriage license, it shows that she was a widow with the last name of 'Caballew' and this marriage to Brainard would be her third marriage.  Shows her age as 20, 5 ft. 3 in. tall, 145 lbs, a native of Florida, residence in Mobile, Alabama and of Baptist religious belief.

She was a seamtress and a homemaker and Episcopalian by faith.

John K. Dempster - Information obtained from an undated newspaper obituary clipping found in a metal box, among Ora Jeraldine Cullen Rhea's belongings, in 2002 :

     Funeral services for John K. Dempster, 86, a retired employee of the City of Mobile, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Roche's Downtown Chapel. He died yesterday at a local hospital.
     Dempster retired in 1962 as City Hall custodian after a long career of municipal service.  He saw service as a policeman and as a fireman prior to becoming a City Hall custodian.
     Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Inez McKinney, Rockford, Ill.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. S. B. Mayson, Mobile, and Mrs. L. W. Browning, Van Nuys, Calif.; three stepsons, Joe Phillips, Frank Phillips, and William Phillips, all of Mobile.

Ora and Mr. Dempster had one daughter:

(IV)--James Brainard Cullen - (born Dec. 31, 1922 in Apalachicola, FL; died Feb. 7, 1923 at 4:30 am, age 6 weeks, in Apalachicola, Franklin Co., FL) noted in Trinity Church Burial records, page 126, by George E. Benedict, Rector: "James Brainard Cullen - Born - Dec. 31, 1922 - Died Feb___1923.  Buried Feb-___1923.  Magnolia."
