    Evanda began working in radio when she was 16 years old and continued in that line of work until 30 years of age, working for several radio stations across the country.  She received her AA degree at 19, married, raised a family and later returned to school, receiving her nursing degree for Registered Nurse at the age of 42.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude, was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, National Honor Fraternity, received the Scholastic Award for her Nursing Class and was Valedictorian of her graduating class.  She was listed in "Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges."  Before nursing school, she worked as a Geriatric Care Staff Member in nursing and retirement homes.  While attending nursing school, she continued working at a retirement home and as a Med/Surg Tech at a local hospital.  Upon graduation, she began working in a local hospital on the medical/surgical floor and later transferred to the OB/GYN/Nursery Department, specializing in normal newborn/intensive care newborn, working there for over 7 years.  She then worked with Children's Medical Services until her mother had a stroke and then went home to care for her.  She later returned to work at an out-patient surgery center and in the office of a gastroenterologist. She is an artist and had a part-time business of crafts and decorated clothing.  In her spare time, she enjoys painting oil landscapes and watercolor portraits and landscapes, craftwork, sewing, reading, cooking and genealogy.  When she was young, she enjoyed fishing and playing checkers with her father.  During her husband's military career, she worked as a volunteer with the Family Service Department and as Cub Scout Leader.  She was christened in the Presbyterian church at an early age and later in life attended the Baptist and Assembly of God churches, where she worked as a youth counselor and Sunday School teacher.
 

      Richard grew up in Nebraska and was a USAF military career person of 20 years.  He met Evanda while stationed at Tyndall AFB in Florida, traveling extensively to bases in Illinois, Alaska, Texas, Viet Nam, Thailand, Okinawa, Delaware and Maryland.  His family was able to travel with him to the majority of the bases and they have traveled together to Okinawa and mainland Japan.  When he retired at the age of 37 years, he went back to school and obtained an accounting degree and began another career of working as a supervisor and with the sales department with a natural and propane gas company, retiring from this company after 18 years.  He then embarked upon another career as supervisor with a fuel transportation company.  His interests include traveling, fishing, carpentry, reading and genealogy.  His family was Methodist and he attended Baptist and Assembly of God churches and enjoyed working with the boys' youth department.  He volunteered many years as a coach with Little League baseball..
