Yugi Moto - Out of all the duelists in the world, Yugi Moto is champion of all. When he was first dragged into the Duelist Kingdom, his powers of the millennium puzzle were weak. Now after defeating Pegasus and many other strong duelists, his power has grown. We see now Yugi is becoming more like the great and powerful Pharaoh from several millenniums ago. Yugi is special in other ways besides his dueling skills, for Yugi contains the Legendary Millennium Puzzle. With this new power and hope, Yugi is able to transform into a greater ego know as Yami. Yami may think like Yugi, but Yami is willing to do what ever it takes to win, even if it results in one's death.
Yami Yugi - The alter ego of Yugi Moto, who is the legendary pharoah who saved the world 5000 years ago! He is called many things such as Yami and Pharoah. When, Yami saved the world long ago, he did so because duel monsters wasn't a game back then. People played for power and dominion over land and even the world! He ended the game by sealing it into Seven Millennium Items - Puzzle, Eye, Ring, Scale, Rod, Necklace, and Key. Yami's soul was also sealed into the Millennium Puzzle. When Yugi transforms into Yami Yugi, he becomes smarter, and stronger in dueling. His destiny lies within Battle City!
Grandpa -The one who gave Yugi the Millenium puzzle, is a kind, old man. He owns a game shop, selling Duel Monster cards. He always hopes for his only grandson, Yugi to win, but to do his best.
Joey Wheeler - Tristan and Joey used to bully Yugi alot and almost made him unable to finish the Millennium Puzzle. But now he is one of Yugi's best friends, and will do anything for his sister. Once he met Yugi he found the ''True Meaning'' of Friendship. He is determined and will strive to do anything.
Seto Kaiba - Determined always to defeat Yugi after Exodia destroyed him. He defeated him at Duelist Kingdom, but it wasn't a ''True'' defeat. Kaiba now hopes to defeat Yugi at Battle City, now that he holds the Ever Powerful Obelisk the Tormentor. He seeks to possess all 3 God Cards, so that he can regain his title as # 1 Duelist in the entire world! Sometimes, Seto can be cold-hearted, but deep down he's real nice.
Mai Valentine - One of the greatest duelists in the world [With an Attitude.] She can be selfish sometimes, but she does care for others such as Yugi. She favors her fateful Harpie Lady Deck. A little fiesty now and then, but Mai is a good person, after Duelist Kingdom the reason she duels is a little different now.
Tristan Taylor - A longtime friend of Joey and Yugi [Before him and Joey teased Yugi], he's not a duelist, but someone good to hang with. He's Joey's best friend almost like a brother. They're their for each other punch for punch and eye for an eye.
Tea Gardner - Yugi's friend for eversince he can remember. She's a kind, sensitive young girl. Tea doesn't give up and is not a quitter...She'll cheer for her friends in their duels even when their losing.
Mokuba Kaiba - Commissioner of Battle City and beloved brother of Seto Kaiba. Kaiba and him were brought up in the orphanage. Mokuba will do anything he can to help his brother and same with Kaiba.
Maximillion Pegasus - He is the Sophisticated, and so called ''Creator'' of Duel Monsters and the host of Duelist Kingdom. Possessing the Millennium Eye, allowed him to capture Mokuba, Kaiba, and Yugi's Grandpa's Soul. When Kaiba lost to Pegasus's fated Toon Monsters he lost his soul as well. Finally, Yugi challenged him and won. In the process, freeing all three souls, Mokuba, Kaiba, and Yugi's Grandpa.
Weevil Underwood - The lousy cheater of Duelist Kingdom and Battle City. He always wears green and has really round eyeglasses, his deck is made up of Insects. He was defeated by Yugi at Duelist Kingdom, and some kid put Parasect Paracide to help Weevil cheat through Joey's duel, but however Joey still won and took his Locater Card and his Insect Queen.
Rare Hunter - One of Marik's henchmen, he uses an excellent Exodia deck. his deck contains Three Sets of Exodia, but Yugi beat his deck by using Chain Destruction and ripped the deck right after. Yugi received Joey's Red Eyes after the duel, since Joey said he wasn't worthy enough to have it, Yugi now battles with Red Eyes Black Dragon.
Arkana - One of Marik's henchmen, the only other Battle City contestant with a Dark Magician Deck.. He has three Dark Magicians in his deck, allowing him to duel Yugi in a Life/Death situation duel, but lost. The reason he dueled was to get his former Wife in love with him again. With the help of Yugi's Dark Magician Girl, Yugi beat Arkana and won his Dark Magician and Locator Cards.
Strings - The Ultimate mind slave of Marik, Manipulated by Marik's Millennium Rod. He has a six earings on his face, he can't even complete actions on his own and is a total mime. He lost his Locater Cards, in the Duel with Slither and Yugi.
