Nickolas Gene Carter was born to Bob and Jane Carter in Jamestown, NY on January 28th, 1980, the eldest child between the couple's five children. Since he was a toddler, his mother Jane, knew he would grow up to be an entertainer, since he used to stand on tree stumps in the backyard and sing to the blades of grass! Since a young age, Nick has been involved in the entertainment industry in one way or another. He's made commercials for the Florida State Lottery, had a very small role in Edward Scissorhands and did the odd singing audition, where he would meet up with Howie and AJ and eventually form three-fifths of the Backstreet Boys.
Nick who is known to all his fans worldwide as the other sports fanatic in the group, also enjoys his downtime playing Nintendo at home or in his hotel room. In fact, that is his absolute favourite thing to do! You can also catch Nick playing golf, volleyball, swimming, in his family boat, on the family's trampoline and shopping. But one thing you will almost never catch him doing, is going to a dance club and dancing!
