Adam Lee Rosol's Adam had two more ear infections, and a little residual pain from the molars breaking through, making him a bit cranky this month. Grandma Rosol visited on the weekend of April 15th, but Adam was so cranky that he didn't really get to enjoy the extra attention. This months highlights include his first haircut, new shoes, a new car seat for daddy's car, and a vist from the easter bunny! We also had him to the doctor this month and he weighed in at 27 pounds, 3 ounces. He's still losing a little weight, but he's eating much better now, and we think he's back on track. " That was a crazy house! Those people were nuts!" We took Adam to an easter egg hunt sponsored by a local radio station. It was a zoo. Adam nearly got stampeded by the parents of the group of 0-4 year olds who were trying to get free candy for their kids. He got some chocolate, and a plastic spider in an egg.
" I think this cow likes me!" Did I say it was a zoo? Well, the main reason we went to the easter egg hunt was because they had a petting zoo there, and Adam has been showing interest in animals. Here, he's checking out a baby cow.
" Check out these sheep!" He wanted to pet the baby sheep, but the mom protected it from him.
"Look what the easter bunny left me " Easter time, and Adam didn't have to search too hard for his basket (it was brought to him on the family room floor). Here, he's taking a bite out of a marshmallow peep. He didn't like them.
" Ok, I had a peep. Now, let's get to the good stuff. Open this, please." Adam really tore into his basket. He had his first piece of chocolate on this day, but it was a slice from a Sarris chocolate egg, not a slab of bunny.
" So this is chocolate? MMMMMM!" Another picture of him playing with the basket and eating a little chocolate.
" What chocolate, mommy?" A little boy with chocolate on his lips and a very innocent look on his face..
" I can't wait until I'm 16. Did you add me to the insurance policy yet?" The latest Adam toy is the "cozy coupe". We got this as a free mail-in rebate for buying Adam his own keyboard for the PC.
" What's this building?" Time for the first haircut. We wanted to take him to a "real" barber shop for this, so we headed a couple of miles down the road to the small town of Davidson, NC.
" Just a light trim, David, a little off the top, and collar length in back" Here's the first haircut, the barber is a friendly guy named David.
" So I get one of these every time I'm good, right?" The barber gave Adam a lollipop for being so good.
" They look good. I'll take them" Right after the haircut, we took Adam to the Stride-Rite store to buy him a new pair of shoes. Size 6 1/2 now.
" Am I the little man or what?" Here's a good photo of the new haircut. He doesn't quite look like an infant any more, looks like quite the little man with that haircut and those jeans and t-shirt.
" Do you like the haircut?" Here's the standing boy, you know he'll be walking soon.
