Adam Lee Rosol's This was a big transition month for Adam. After 15 months of being taken care of by his mother, our finances dictated that Carol would have to go back to work, and Adam would have to go to daycare. That would be a huge change for him, although I think the transition was easier for him than it was for us. He's doing well in daycare, and we hope we've made the right decision. His other major transition this month was going from crawling to finally walking. By mid-June, he was walking just about all of the time, and we're so proud of him. He also was transitioned to a sippy cup from a bottle, and he finally learned how to hold his own cup. We also took him on vacation to Nags Head, and he did very well there. We took him to the doctor twice this month, once for a viral infection that left little red marks on his skin, and again for his 15 month checkup. He weighed in at 28 pounds, 33.5 inches tall, and with a 45 cm head circumference. He also grew two more teeth for a total of fourteen. Here's some pictures of him during his 16th month " I bet there's pirate treasure buried under my blanket. I'll dig it up!" The water temperature was a little cold, but the air temperature was around 90 when we took Adam to the beach. This is on our vacation to Nags Head. He loved the sand, and swimming in a pool. " Aren't you going to help me dig up the pirate treasure?!" Another picture of the beach boy. The sand dune in the background looks like it was pretty badly beat up by the hurricanes last fall. "I'm a crawling sand crab" The sand is a nice place to go for a crawl. " What is this stuff? It's cold." The surf fascinated him, but the water was a little too cold for him to enter. Maybe next year, if he's being held tightly by mom or dad. "Well, it can't be too bad if mom is playing in it with me" Another picture of the beach boy playing in the surf. " Wait a minute! That was REALLY cold when it hit my swimsuit." Here's the boy, just having a larger than usual wave hit him, and freeze him good. That was it, he was done playing in the surf. Carol, her dad, and her brother Mark went out on a fishing charter while on vacation, and Adam and Len were on hand to meet the boat full of tuna coming home. They caught their limit, 18 tuna for the boat. " I'm naked as a jaybird, and I think I like it" Here's Adam, helping us water our vegetable garden. Of course, he was wearing a diaper, but once he hosed it pretty good, it weighed about 15 pounds, so we took it off him and let him run around naked. " So, when I'm toilet trained, this is what I do, right?" Carol couldn't resist this photo op. " It's so much fun hanging in the pool with mommy!" Here's the number one boy looking happy in the inflatable baby pool we put on the patio for him. He just loves the water. " I like to cuddle up with mom. It distracts her long enough for me to beep her nose" Here's a happy looking boy cuddling on the floor with his mom. He's been especially playful lately.
