Adam Lee Rosol's
Seventeenth Month
June 13 - July 12 2000

Well, this month, the big news is that Adam is doing well in day care. He did have to visit the doctor, twice, for ear infections, and he had a VERY high fever that had us putting him in a cold tub to reduce his temperature. Scary.

Other big events this month include a neighborhood block party at the Beaver's next door, a visit from his cousins Marissa, Alex, and Ethan, a visit to the 4th of July parade in Harrisburg, NC, and a trip to Charleston, SC, to see the wonderful SC aquarium. It was a pretty busy month!!!

Here's some pictures of him during his 17th month

craft time

" Hi mommy. Do you want to help me glue some glitter on this paper? I bet it will be a real big mess. Adam seems to enjoy doing crafts in daycare. Our fridge/art gallery will soon be full. This craft was a "necktie" made of paper and glitter for father's day.

daycare5

" I see. So that's how you glue! " Here one of his teachers are showing Adam and Jack how to do crafts.

crafts

"Crafts, crafts, crafts. I'm getting good at this, maybe I'll set up with Grandma Schwartz at her next craft show." He really seems to like this.

all the kids

" I like these kids." Here's the daycare class. That's Adam, Jack, Andy, Emily and Mikayla in the foreground.

finished work

"I'm glad you like the tie, daddy." Here's Daddy showing his father's day gift. It's not often you get such a nice tie!

Trix Ears

"Silly Rabbit, Trix are for kids. And so are rabbit ear hats!" It's still father's day, and Adam is wearing a Trix hat that was given away by a Nascar team at "Race Week" in downtown Charlotte.

Dino Attack

"Roarrrrrrr!" Adam's cousin Marissa came for a brief visit right before the fourth of July. Adam thought she made great dinosaur food!

Dino food

"Marissa, you're the best dinosaur food I've ever met!" Marissa was a pretty good sport, she let Adam and the dino have some dino lunch!

Dogpile!

"We're crushing daddy! Yeah!" There's something about Len when he lays on the floor that every kid within shouting distance can't help jumping on him. Adam, Marissa, Alex, and even Ethan have all jumped on and are attempting to smother him.

I love a parade

"I have a good view of the parade from up here. Thanks mommy." We went to the 4th of July festival and Parade in Harrisburg, NC. It was pretty cool, a real small town parade.

Superman

"Look at me, I'm superman!" The 4th of July festival had some cutouts where you could pose to get your picture taken as superman.

happy boy

"Mommy! Let's go for a walk." Adam loves to be outside, and pushing some type of toy is always the best part of a walk.

fountain

"Mom, are you going to come splash with me?" This was our trip to Charleston, SC, to see the aquarium. This is a large city fountain that everyone was playing in, and since it was about 95 degrees, we let Adam go and splash around too. He was a little scared of the bigger kids, but I think he enjoyed it.

fishies

"Don't just stand there, fetch me a rod! And be quick about it!" This was part of the SC aquarium. This part was outside the building, on a large deck type area, and it was dedicated to the local salt water fish. There were plenty of them in here, and Adam loved to see them.

Touching fish

"Let me touch that crab" The aquarium had a hands on section, where children (and some adults) could touch crabs, starfish, sea urchins, snails and such.

waterwall

"I love water!" Near the entrance to the aquarium, there was a waterwall, where a cascade of water ran over a map of the Charleston peninsula. It was designed to be touched and experienced, and Adam loved to touch it.
