Adam Lee Rosol's Of course, the big event this month is Adam's second birthday. We had a small celebration with the kids in his day care class, bringing in ice cream and cookies, which they much prefer to cake or cupcakes. We also took him to Discovey Place, a science center for kids, on his birthday. Here's some pictures of him during his 24th month
" Cool! I like videos. Now all I need is a long enough attention span to watch them. Maybe I'll get that for Christmas!" On Adam's birthday, he got some videos from Aunt Andrea and Uncle Paul. Toy Story and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command!
" I love to play in the water" We took Adam to Discovery Place in downtown Charlotte on his birthday. This is a hands on science museum geared towards children. Here, he's playing in the water in an ersatz stream.
" This requires a lot of concentration, I'll have to stick my tongue out." More water play at Discovery Place.
" I like water play! " Here is even more water play at Discovery place.
" Daddy used to be nicknamed Moose, he really doesn't look like a moose to me. " Still in the childrens play room at Discovery place, there's this big moose head up on the wall.
" Mom, can I pet the dinosaurs?" More from Discovery Place, they have a big room of realistic dinosaurs.
" You don't scare me you big, mean dinosaur. I have my mommy with me, and she can kick your butt! " Small boy, big T-Rex.
" I hope you guys enjoy the cookies and ice cream that my daddy brought you!" Here's is Adam's birthday celebration at his new daycare center. In the front is Sarah Shaw, to the right is Brittany. They're eating ice cream and cookies we brought for Adam's birthday.
" MMMMM! Ice Cream!" Adam's actually getting more ice cream into his mouth than he's wearing, which is fairly unusual.
" Mmmmm. Cookies!" The cookies completed Adam's birthday celebration at daycare. We were told that the kids at this age actually prefer cookies to cake or cupcakes.
" Whee! " Another 2nd birthday picture, celebrating with some of the balloons mommy bought him.
" That was fun. I wished for you to re-light it so I could blow it out again! " The birthday cake had a "bear in the big blue house" theme, and he blew out the candle himself.
" Mmmmm. Cake!" Adam didn't make quite as much mess on his 2nd birthday, but that wasn't for lack of effort.
" Daddy, you're supposed to be naked when you brush your teeth!" Trying to get Adam into the "after bath teeth brushing routine". Some sucess, but not an overwhelming victory.
" One more book, please. " Part of our bedtime ritual is reading a few books to Adam before bed. Ok, more than "a few". Usually 8 or more. Hopefully, this will give him a love of reading, he certainly loves to be read to.
