C | Troubleshoots Program Development-- (1) Prepares block diagrams to specify equipment configuration. (2) Observes or operates computer to test coded program using actual or sample input data. (3) Corrects program errors by such methods as altering program steps and sequence. | 500 |
D | Computer Language Programming-- (1) Demonstrates ability to read and understand computer language coding, write a language program and effectively interpret the diagnostics in order to correct errors. (2) Utilizes the features of computer languages in programming projects. (3) Prepares written instructions (run block) to guide operating personnel during production runs. Special Instructions: Work processes completed in a state or federally recognized apprenticeship program will be accepted upon presentation of proper documentation to the appropriate service school.
A total of 288 hours of related instruction is required in order to complete this program. Related instruction credit may be awarded individuals registered in the trade of Programmer, Business (Professional and Kindred) taken from an accredited institution, providing the courses are similar to the courses taken for a Programmer, Business (Professional and Kindred) program in a community college/vocational school.
